Summer Styles

Hairwear is now available in 4 different styles. Here's the lowdown...

Christina Bands: this is the original wide headband. It measures about 2 1/2" wide and wraps around the entire head with elastic in the back.

Emma Bands: this is the bandana that doesn't tie. It is very wide and can be worn stretched out like a bandana, scrunched up like a headband, or folded in half like a scarf. It wraps around the entire head with elastic in the back.

Sophie Bands: this is the reversible skinnier band. It measures around 2" or less and wraps around the entire head with elastic in the back. It is reversible with really fun, coordinating fabrics.

Lucy Bands: this is a hard headband wrapped in fabric. This is just like the traditional headbands, but it's comfortable since it's wrapped in fabric. It is also reversible!!!

Introducing the SKINNY headband

I have created a new headband that is "not so wide". Since God created us all with different shaped heads, we need different size headbands! If my "original" headband is too wide for you - it may pop up in the back off the top of your head - then the skinny headband should fit you perfect! It's about 1 3/4" wide. It is a skinnier look because it is thinner and it does not have the solid color border. These are great for those of you who wear headbands with a ponytail - super cute!

Join us for Christmas "shopping" in July! Over the last year, the three of us have been inspired by beautiful ribbons, fabrics, papers and accessories. This has produced a variety of hand-cradfted items sure to add a little "joy" to your day.

We will feature hair accessories (barrettes and headbands) for babies, girls and adults, jewelery and purses. Our items are fun for all ages and make perfect gifts! All items are uniquely hand-crafted by the three of us.

Feel free to stop by any time between 6pm and 8pm to just say hello, browse our creative endeavors or maybe even do a little early Christmas shopping.

These hairbandanas can be worn scrunched up like a headband, or stretched out like a bandana. They are great for keeping hair off your face, especially on a hot day. The hairbandanas listed on Etsy are made in Girls (medium) size. Of course, other sizes are available upon request and there is no additional charge for custom sizing.

Most headbands sold in my shop can be made in any size. I have chosen certain fabrics and put them in either a women's or girls' category, but most fabrics that you see can be made in any size that you want. We can also make them for toddlers and babies - we simply need the measurement around your little girl's head where the headband will sit. There is no additional charge for custom sizing. Simply order the headband (fabric) that you want and in "message to seller" specify if you want a different size than the one listed. Women's Hair Scarves

These headbands measure about 7 inches in width. The fabric is double layered and scrunches up. The elastic in the back is wrapped in fabric and won't creep up the back of the neck. There is a tail attached to the back to appear like you tied a scarf around your hair. The tail is detachable for whenever you want just a headband. These are very similar to the scarves currently sold at trendy shops for around $30.

This headband measures 21" around unstretched and fits a head measurement of 21" - 23".
Of course every head is a different shape and size, so measure where the headband would fit. You can always send me the head measurement, and I will custom size the headband for you. Some women like their headbands real snug, while others don't want to feel it. I am more than happy to find the perfect fit for you.

My name is Karen and I am a mother of three without enough hours in the day!

Hairwear began as a simple headband I made for my daughter to keep her crazy hair out of her face. It has become a fun business selling to local stores, friends, and at craft fairs. You will find me at the sewing machine at all hours of the night, but I love it. There's nothing like the smile on a girl's face when she gets to try on a new headband.
